GPA refers to the calculated average of the letter grades a student earns in each semester following a 0 to 4.0 scale. This is GPA calculation table.

Every semester, students receive a GPA based on the grades they earned in all their courses during that semester. The formula used for the calculations of the Grade Point Average (GPA) is as follows

Biochemistry I CPA = 4 x 2.33 = 9.33

Integrated Physiology Lab CPA= 1 x 4.00 = 4.00

Asian Civilization I CPA= 3 x 1.67 = 5.01

Ecology CPA= 3 x 4.00 = 12.00

Korean I CPA= 3 x 3.00 = 9.00

Total Number of Credits = 17 credit

Total Points Earned = 9.99+9.33+4.00+5.01+12.00+9.00 = 49.33

2. Calculate what would have happened if Amelia had earned a B in Chemistry.

 New Chemistry CPA= 4 x 3.00 = 12.00

     New total points earned: 9.99+12.00+4.00+5.01+12.00+9.00 = 52

3. What is the difference in GPA?

3.06 – 2.90 = 0.16

ANSWER for Q4

Cell Biology CPA : 4 x 3.33 =13.32

Organic Chemistry I CPA: 4 x 3.00 = 12.00

Intro Physics I CPA: 4 x 2.00 = 8.00

Writing in Biology CPA: 3 x 2.00 = 6.00

Public Speaking CPA: 3 x 3.67 = 11.01

Total Number of Credit: 18 credits

Total Points Earned: 13.32+12.00+8.00+6.00+11.01 = 50.33

ANSWER FOR Q5

She fail the subject and need to repeat the paper next semester

New Cell Biology CPA : 4 x 1.00 = 4.00

New Total Points Earned: 4.00+12.00+8.00+6.00+11.01 = 41.01

ANSWER FOR Q6
